Another sale

Monday, April 20, 2009

I learned so much at this sale. I learned that you don't take handmade crafts to a "rummage sale". I learned that you really HAVE to have something flashy to catch peoples eye. I learned that location is VERY important. I learned that your best friend is the saviour of your sanity.

I woke up early, the sale started at 7 am. I picked up Kacie and we made good time even though I was completely braindead and Kacie had to direct me at every turn. The doors opened and we waited. Sales were okay, but it was not the right demographic for my jewelry. Too bad I didn't have a table full of 25 cent toasters.

Anyway, we did have a good time. I also got more experience, which is always good.

New domain name

Wednesday, February 18, 2009

I finally bought a domain name. I had been thinking about it for a while and just on the spur of a moment thought went ahead and did it. Now I have to work on finding a program that will help me design the site. I'm not very good at HTML but I am sure I will learn quickly and have my site up and running in no time. I definately have my work cut out for me!

I'm a slacker

Wednesday, December 31, 2008

It's been about 3 weeks since I have posted anything. I know, I know......I am a slacker. So this will be a post like no other. I will try to catch you all up on everything that has happened. At least the highlights.....

First things first, my sale was quite a success. The turnout was not as huge as I had hoped for, but I still made a few bucks and made some new friends. I also got to spend some time with my friend Kacie. And thank you so much for your help darling....so appreciated!!! Here's a pic of the jewelry set-up.

Also I made some cupcake pops (thanks Bakerella)....oh so yummy!

The weekend after my sale we left for Bemidji to spend time with family. The drive was horrible!!! There was a blizzard, but we wouldn't miss that dinner for anything. We had the most fantastic meal that my sister-in-law made. We Wii bowled and drank and all in all I think everyone had a great time. I can't wait until next year. Thank you so much Carly...you are the best hostess!

That Sunday we left and headed to International Falls to spend the rest of the week with Joshuas family. It was an amazing time...it always is!

Josh and I decided to get each other wool coats for X-mas, then we went out and bought a 40" TV for the whole family. Now, since we got a new television , we decided to upgrade our cable too ;) YAY!

And award for the best gift ever goes to........Auntie Lisa and Uncle Osi with the leg lamp!

Thank you soooooooo much!

We are all home now safe and sound. Thanks goes out to everyone who helped make our Holiday one of the best ever!

Unfortunately I don't have digital cable or DVR (just basic) so turns out I can't use it. What a bummer! I was so happy I won something, then to find out I can't use it......oh well, maybe I will put it on Craigslist.
*Update*
Since we are now upgrading our cable we will be able to use the gift certificate!!!!
YAY for free PPV!

So, first off we finally got new decorations for our tree, it was a deal and a half for me to pick out a new color scheme. I found some great ones on sale at JC Penney and here they are on the tree.
Now onto more pressing matters, I have eleven days until my very first craft sale and I am so very nervous and excited at the same time. I still have a few more things I want to get done before then so I better get my butt in gear right away in the morning!
Then of course there are the cupcake lollipops I want to do for the sale as well....
I also started making purses for all the girls in the family and I still have to make at least 7 more...
Oh, and I still have no idea what kind of dessert I am going to make for the X-mas eve-eve dinner yet....
I also have about 80% of my Christmas shopping left to do sometome as well....
Anything is possible.......right?!
